She’s the ultimate rock goddess.

I’ve enjoyed Liz Phair since I first heard tracks off of Exile In Guyville. She has a voice that I really enjoy that carries a lot of emotion.

I respect her as a musician because she seems to follow her inner voice and make music that she wants to make. Her recent music has been more commercial, but I see that as where she is moving as a musician, not as selling out.

I find her lyrics delightful and full of fun throughout her catalog. There are little twists and turns within her songs that bring a smile to my face. She is also good at evoking other emotions through her words.

I also admire her being so open about sexual and sensual themes in her songs. I find it refreshing to see a woman who is getting older hold on to her youthful exuberance.

I think Bill Nye has done the best job of injecting energy and enthusiasm into science of recent science celebraties. I also think he has a great gift for explaining things in simple terms.

I’d like to have him explain some of the details of the concepts introduced in his book Exultant.

I’ve always admired Jodie Foster’s work both as an actress and as a director.

I also appreciate her choice to go to college rather than just moving forward with her career.

I doubt that I’ll ever meet her though based on her past experience with stalkers. I think her privacy is extremely important and respect that. If I were to have a chance encounter though, I think it would be great to thank her for her work and ask her a few questions if she felt so inclined.
